ABOUT ME

You may be wondering whether art psychotherapy has anything to offer you or you may already be at the stage of looking for an art psychotherapist that best suits your needs.
Art psychotherapy is for everyone and offers a range of support to help overcome all sorts of concerns, including anxiety, depression and  bereavement.

I offer individual therapy sessions for children and young adults, both short and long term, in a safe, confidential, compassionate and non-judgemental therapeutic space.   I am a warm and thoughtful qualified and accredited HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) Art psychotherapist with the aim to help you to express and explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences which can then begin to be processed. Working holistically, we will use both talking and creative therapeutic approaches including story, art making, drama and movement. There are no expectations for you to be experienced in any of these disciplines but they can be another avenue by which to express your feelings when words are too difficult.

You will be supported to explore and express any uncomfortable or confusing feelings and experiences that may be holding you back in life, with the opportunity to feel truly heard and accepted whatever your personal circumstances.  Being creative within therapy can help us to express, process and integrate complex feelings and experiences that may have previously felt somewhat “beyond words”.
